Woodroffe and Amir Ali: Law of Evidence Author : Universal’s

Sir John Woodroffe & Syed Amir Ali Law of Evidence: In Accordance with The Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 is a highly acclaimed and authoritative section-wise commentary on the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 providing updated and detailed analysis of its provisions. The Law of evidence occupies an important role in effective functioning of the judicial system as the existence of substantive rights can only be established by relevant and admissible evidence.

This book ensures that the spirit and essence of the original work are maintained, preserving its relevance and applicability to both the Act and the Adhiniyam. It enriches its analysis by including relevant judgments from the period under the Indian Evidence Act, 1872, illustrating how the courts previously interpreted the similar issues. This dual approach of comparing old and new provisions, supported by judicial precedents, makes the book an invaluable tool for understanding the evolution of evidence law in India.
