Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 – Bare Act By Taxmann’s Editorial Board

Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 [Bare Act] by Taxmann is a comprehensive, meticulously updated, and affordably priced statutory publication presenting the complete text of India’s new substantive criminal law. Enacted as a replacement for the Indian Penal Code 1860, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 marks a historic reform in India’s criminal justice framework by restructuring offences, punishments, and principles of criminal liability in accordance with contemporary constitutional values, societal needs, and modern forms of crime. This 2026 Edition reproduces the verbatim and authoritative text of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, as enacted by Parliament and in force, updated to date. The publication is consciously designed to balance statutory accuracy, practical usability, and price sensitivity. To keep the book economical and accessible to a wide readership, section-wise notes and extended commentary have been deliberately excluded. At the same time, the book retains a rich set of comparative tables, structured comparative study tools, punishment guides, and legislative background materials, ensuring that affordability does not come at the cost of utility.
