About the book
 With the objective of spreading awareness of the emerging area of Competition Law a National Conference was organized by the Indian Law Institute in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India. These are the selected well researched papers from selected authors covering the diverse areas associated with the Competition Law which will contribute the development of competition law jurisprudence in India. The objective of the book is to address the central issues, challenges and implementation of the Competition Law in India and also to generate an enthusiasm for readers to find loopholes in the system and how it has been addressed by the Competition Commission of India through its assertive enforcement mechanism.

 About the Editors
Manoj Kumar Sinha is the Director at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in international law from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi after attaining his LL.B. from the University of Delhi, India, and his LL.M. from the University of Nottingham, UK. His areas of specializations include human rights, international humanitarian and refugee law, international criminal law, international law, international institutions and constitutional law. He has published extensively in these areas in prominent Indian and international law journals. He currently serves on the editorial boards of various reputed national and international journals, as well as research bodies of many universities in India and abroad.
Susmitha P Mallaya is theAssistant Professor at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, India. Prior to this she was an Assistant Professor in School of Legal Studies, Kannur University, Kerala, Vaikunta Baliga College of Law, Udupi, Karnataka and Amity Law School affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka, Delhi. She holds her LL.B. from Government Law College, Ernakulum affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and LL.M. and Ph.D in law from School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, Kerala. She has published several articles in the area of Competition Law and Documentary Credit Law in various reputed national journals which are now recognized by UGC in India. Presently, she also serves as an Assistant Editor of Annual Survey of Indian Law, one of the most prestigious journals having national and international reputation published by Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. She is currently focusing research in the area of Competition Law and Banking Law.
